For our extracts, we use only premium quality mushrooms that are either organically cultivated or harvested from the wild, meeting the EU certified organic production standards (i.e., collected from areas officially designated as suitable for organic farming). The mushrooms for our extracts come from the pristine, remote mountainous regions of southeastern and northern China, known for their rich heritage and millennia-long tradition of cultivating medicinal mushrooms. Some Chaga is also collected from the untouched forests in the northern parts of Estonia.
Why China? Estimates show that China is responsible for over 80% of the world's mushroom production today, and no one understands mushroom cultivation and extraction better than the Chinese.
⦁ Reishi is cultivated on oak (Chinese linden) logs as a nutritional substrate.
⦁ Lion's Mane is grown using organic cottonseed husks.
⦁ Cordyceps is cultivated in open greenhouses.
⦁ Chaga is harvested in a controlled manner from the wild.
Cultivation is typically carried out in open greenhouses with natural light and a constant flow of fresh air. When the mushrooms are in optimal condition, the fruiting bodies are hand-harvested and either sun-dried or placed in a dryer.
The raw materials and extracts undergo comprehensive microbiological testing for bacteria, yeast, Salmonella, molds, E. coli, coli forms, heavy metals, pesticides, and other contaminants.
